For the true followers (mind you, not "believers") of the conspiracy theory here's a nice website called conspiracyarchive. A nice read for Fidel Castro and others who are convinced the CIA is plotting to kill him as they have done in the past. What did George Junior call him again? And is it true that America someday will become a civilized nation and abolish the death penalty? After it no longer exists for the mentally disabled and may even be further restricted to those commiting their crime whilst over eighteen years of age it may well be that my son's granchildren will live to see the day the USA no longer kills people to show other people that killing people is wrong. False hopes?
A mere wish? Well, don't hold your breath until High Priests rule but keep thinking positive.

Here we had a very positive week that started saturday when Jessica, Vincent's girlfriend brought us Max, a very cool Guinea pig. All the guests we had on sunday (the forementioned Jessica, neighbour Johanna, neighbour
Angélique, neighbour Miriam and her daughters Eva and Dayna, as well as Bas, Vincent, Liz and Igor couldn't help to stroke his soft fur and listen to his purring. Can't say I blame them!

Last tuesday Ferdinand got his mid-term report from school. On all points he scored a "more than sufficient", a "good" either a "very good".
The teacher had but one complaint:"The boy should be a little troublesome at times. That is only natural for a boy his age."
Now, ain't that somethin'? Catch'ya next week!

The past week went by fast. Work, study and kid consume most of my time. Close second come my neighbours. Although, to my son's great disapointment, neighbour Johanna didn't make use of her right to see our son. His grandfather was also scheduled to come but due to a health-problen couldn't make it. What really cheered him up was his first swimming-lesson in years. The kids in his class who already got a diploma today started with swimming-lessons through school. The kids that couldn't swim at all were able to go before the last holidays. Thanks to government-measures school-swimming is now only subsidised six months of the year.

"They" apparently prefer to spent money on deciding what colour background the new social services logo should have (Estimated costs: 5 mil. Euro's) or on the development of a fighter no one has asked for (estimated costs: 7 bil. Euro's).
Why should you use all those nice banknotes to teach children how to swim?

No more Kilroy shows on BBC for a while, I guess, since the star of the show, Robert Kilroy-Silk, appears to be a human being with an opinion of his own. Apparently venting your thoughts in public can cost you your job. But only if those thoughts are politically incorrect. I don't agree with mister Kilroy's opinion concerning the Arab world but that's not the issue here. What's at stake is the freedom of speech. I already know someone who got arrested for calling George junior a murderer. Next our children will be handed out textbooks in school that tell you what you can and cannot say in public...

For the time being we will make up our own shows.

Speaking of freedom of speech: Former American Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill has used this right to tell the world his ex-boss has been looking for an excuse to bomb Iraq since the day of inauguration. Old news, mister O'Neill. That was not only common knowledge but also the sole reason for his brother and father to put him in the seat.
Read the book "The price of loyalty."

Like to stay informed about what's going on within the different parties now election-time is nearing?
Tune in to Watchblog, a LiveJournal trying to give you an uncoloured insight into todays politics in the US of A.

Keep your almanac well-hidden from now on. You could get arrested for carrying one according to this FBI-warning. Hilariaous, really.
Almost as funny as being accused of terrorism for sharing a birthday with a known terrorist. Should you be wanting to fly over American soil make sure your birthday is not on the list, otherwise you're an immediate suspect.
It's KGB revisited if you ask me! Thanks to the system called CAAPS II
every man, woman and child in the USA has lost all right to privacy in the name of anti-terrorism. On top of that mister Bush Jr. recently stated in his speech at the Americas-top where Fidel Castro was not invited that no
one who is corrupt is welcome in America. Where will they put all those people and who will keep the country running? Attorney General John Ashcroft?

I'd like to know his reaction to the arrest of Dale Robin Hersh, an American pilot who mocked the Brazilian system fo airline-security.

Here, in the western aka "civilized" world we lavish our freedom. We think we are free to do as we please. We are indeed. Within the convinement of our cages that is. Let's take the Netherlands (since I live there we could take a less easier example but why should we?): you are free to smoke. As long as it's not in a public place. You are free to smoke on trainplatforms. As long as you stay within a two metre radius of a so called "smoke-pillar". Ain't that a laugh. You're free to think your thoughts. As long as you don't express them in a way "they" don't like.

But things are about to change since a radical movement has risen to strike down the Bush regime: Babes Against Bush will shake the world as we know it!

Speaking of the US president. Apparantly he suddenly is in favor of a plan of regularisation concerning immigrants (ie Spanish speaking voters) by stating "(we need a plan) that serves the American economy and reflects the American dream."

I wonder why he comes with this plan in election-time and not long before...

The same goes for his plan to re-conquer space. Well, the moon and Mars at least. Clues, anyone?

Perhaps concerning the question: why does an American soldier receive a medal when he shoots an Iraqi criminal and does a Dutch marine get sentenced to jail for doing the same?

The new year has begone. For my son with an upgrade of group.
He moved up to the advance-class in karate. In a years time from nothing to orange belt. Ain't that something?

As for me: I started working under a new contract and picked up the study "SPW3" (childmender). Could use some extra dough, though.
We'll see how I can get that in my bankaccount...Anyone in need of an entertainer?
Here's an interesting search-string:

As long as there are foreign soldiers in Iraq people will continue to oppose them.
So why aren't they simply pulled back is what I'd like to know.
The previously set goal has been achieved: Saddam Hussein does not longer reign and there's no fear of weapons of mass destruction being used by the Iraqi's, simply because they haven't got them.
Or have "they" set themselves a new goal I am not aware of?

Since my new system, Windows 2000, very professionally cleaned out my entire internet-settings, bookmarks, email inbox en email addressbook, I'm asking you this: should you be in my list of contacts, let me know.

Hope 2004 is gonna be a good year for you and your loved ones.
For now: enjoy!
As I did, going into the new year with my son, my mom and my best mate.
